High Performing Team Development

It’s pretty unnatural to assemble a group of individuals together, often who have never met each other, or know of each other only via their corporate reputation, and expect them to gel into a seamless high performance team. It does happen but its rare.

More often, teams will hold tensions, rivalries, unspoken judgements, biases and pre-conceptions. It’s human nature.

When you compound this with individuals who are not fully aware of their own biases, preferences, behaviors and attitudes – then very often a team does not deliver to its potential, expending energy focussed on itself rather than in delivering great outcomes.

Our approach is twofold:

Firstly – bring all individuals in the team to a common awareness position. Using the one day 5 assessment approach (see the “People” section)- all team members have a common language and have experienced the highs and lows of the self reflection that the day provokes.

Secondly – we bring the team together (online or in person) for a day to share their assessments, their reflections and their observations about themselves. We develop this into reflecting on how their “profiles” typically interact with each other, how they work well, where the tensions come from and how they can truly collaborate to get the most from each other as a group.

We leave the teams with a common language, an understanding of themselves and each other and with a renewed excitement to work as a high performing team.
